Its a nice day for a white wedding….

Charlotte and Connor were married last October and it was a super stylish affair filled with flowers. Charlotte wanted to stick with an all Ivory floral colour scheme, with lots of mixed foliages throughout. We worked together to create a timeless, elegant and luxurious look for the day.

Charlotte loved peonies, however with it being an autumn wedding this wasn’t an option as peonies are available from late April until mid-July. If you’re a lover of this beautiful summer flower but like Charlotte marries out of the season, there are lots of other gorgeous flowers with a similar look. On this occasion, we focused on garden roses, which are available all year round.

FLOWERS

Bouquets.

Charlotte’s bouquet was filled with heavenly scented white O'Hara garden roses, that not only smelt amazing but look amazing too, along with a very soft pale pink spray rose, silvery white Thistle, white Lisianthus with its pale green buds, Waxflower with its citrus smell and a feathery Astilbe. To give the bouquets volume we used silvery eucalyptus and olive foliage.

The bridesmaids carried a smaller version on Charlotte’s bouquet finished with an ivory satin band and pearl pins, and the boys wore a white Ranunculus, thistle, wax and foliage buttonhole finished in an ivory satin band.

Wanting to carry the theme throughout the day Charlotte requested a simple urn design full of White O’hara, Astilbe, Stocks, thistle and again plenty of foliage’s to sit at the altarl of the beautiful and quaint church in Whaley Bridge. This was then transferred to the venue to use in the bar.

The wedding reception was held in the contemporary Willoughby Suite and once again match Charlotte and Connor’s wedding perfectly. To complement the surroundings we designed low, hand-tied table centrepieces that were once again filled with an array of Roses, Veronica, Carnations, Waxflower and lashings of foliage’s which all added beautiful smells and textures to the tables. The hand-ties were finished with white ribbon and sat in a simple glass cylinder vase.

I also had the pleasure of dressing the wedding cake, which was made by Charlotte’s friend and bridesmaid. I dressed the cake with a mixture of fresh flowers, The smell of the cake and flowers hit you as you walked in…. It was divine!
