So what happen's now!?

Where do I start? We are just beginning week 5 of lockdown and I don’t need to explain the crazy situation we all find ourselves in. I am hoping that everyone is staying safe and taking care of loved ones and where possible staying in the comfort of your own home.

I wanted to update you all on what will be happening to my business over the coming week’s. As you can imagine my business is a huge passion of mine and I have spent years building it up from scratch and before that learning my trade in the industry. I will never get bored of creating beautiful floral arrangements or visiting the flower markets to see and smell new varieties of season flowers. Then theirs meeting new couples to discuss their future wedding plans and all my other lovely customers that over time become friends..

My amazing flower market shut just after Mothers Day but has since reopened with limited deliveries from Holland. At this time I personally still feel the need to help protect all my valued customers, wedding couples, ourselves and families and when the time is right my order books will reopen and I’ll be back out delivering beautiful blooms for all occasions.

As you all know a huge part of my business is wedding flowers and that is where Covid-19 has really affected things. Many weddings have had to be postponed causing so much stress to all concerned. Over the past few weeks, I have dealt with lots of couples who have had to make the heartbreaking and difficult decision to postpone their day. Some with just weeks to go. So much planning goes into a wedding and I have been speaking to some of these couples for over a year. I know that all suppliers are in the same boat and its wonderful to see everyone pulling together to support these couples. My heart goes out to these coupes, but I am surprised how calm and gracious everyone has been.

It’s just so sad that just as the wedding season was beginning it was brought to an almighty halt. But hey, it just means that later on in the year and next year will be even busier.

So what am I doing now, well that’s easy! I am focusing on my current couples who have sadly had to reschedule dates. We will book in new consultation dates to discuss flower variety’s for there new season and how we can adjust accordingly if necessary. I am here for any questions that you guys might have.

I am also dealing with lots of new exciting enquiries for next year!! With lots of couples re-booking for this Autumn or Spring/Summer, next year dates are going fast. I will of course do my absolute best to accommodate all new dates.

Next year is, of course, going to be busy for us all… working through flower proposals is keeping me busy and creating lovely mood boards filled with seasonal blooms is giving me my flower fix.

I know this is not permanent, strange yes but things will return and I’ll soon be climbing ladders, creating special bouquets to be walked down the aisle and filling pretty little flower girl baskets with softly scented petals.

In the meantime, I am here for all my couples new and old who need help with anything…. via video call of course.

I will still share my flowers on Instagram and Facebook and please stay in touch. Communication has never been so important.

Stay safe and look after each other.
